Meghan is the manager and chief innovator for Loyal Companions, working daily with families who have lost beloved pets. She wears many hats within the family business, working as Manager of Hillcrest Cemetery, Director of Public Relations, Marketing, Human Resources, and Family Care, and as an Apprentice Funeral Director at Goldfinch Funeral Home.

Meghan holds a bachelor's degree in communications with a minor in journalism from Coastal Carolina University and two master's degrees, one from University of South Carolina in integrated mass communication and one from Boston University in health communication.

"I love working with the community and helping people during their time of need, whether it be with their human family or pet family. When a person is experiencing loss and grief, I want to be there for them and aid them in their journey towards healing," Meghan says. "I thought it was time for pet families to have a premier place to go for pet cremation and memorial services."

Meghan has one dog, a Goldendoodle named Murphy. She also has a Canadian Warmblood gelding named Max. Murphy is training to become a grief therapy dog and Max is being schooled in the disciplines of hunter jumping and dressage. Meghan spends free time with her family, flounder fishing, and riding Max.

Susie Goldfinch oversees office operations and works directly with pet families to help them plan their desired services. She is a graduate from The College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in marketing and advertising.

"From being in the funeral service industry for 30 years, I see a need for quality compassionate care for the pet family during the death of their beloved pet," Susie says. "As a pet owner who loves her pets to no end, I understand the loss of a pet and the level of grief that one can feel. I have lost many cherished pets in my life, but one in particular really made a mark on my life. I will never forget her and never stop missing her."

Susie has two pets; a Shih Tzu named Ritz and a Goldendoodle named Jack. She enjoys spending time with her family, boating, gardening, and repurposing furniture.
